On September 25–26, 2025, Madrid became the epicenter of global urology with the celebration of the eighth edition of the International Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms & Stones Congress (ILUTS25). As the organizer of this congress, I can only express my immense pride and satisfaction in witnessing how this project continues to grow year after year, consolidating itself as an unmissable event for specialists in urinary stone disease and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
On this occasion, we exceeded all expectations: more than 300 attendees, the participation of 54 speakers from 16 countries, and a top-level scientific program that included 20 live surgeries, 24 lectures, 3 round tables, and 3 debate sessions. We also had the support of 23 sponsoring companies, whose contribution was essential in making an event of this scale possible.
The practical and multidisciplinary nature of ILUTS25 was undoubtedly one of its greatest strengths. The live surgeries broadcast from the operating theatre and the interactive sessions fostered a valuable exchange of knowledge, where technological innovation and the latest advances in surgical techniques played a leading role.
I am deeply grateful to all the speakers and moderators who generously shared their expertise, to the attendees who traveled from different parts of the world to join us, and of course, to the sponsors who once again placed their trust in this project. Their contribution was key in making ILUTS25 a true meeting point for the international urological community.
Beyond facts and figures, what truly makes ILUTS special is the shared passion for advancing our specialty and, above all, for improving patients’ quality of life. Every debate, every surgery, and every personal connection established during these days reinforces our commitment to excellence in urology.
ILUTS25 has set a new milestone and encourages us to continue working with the same enthusiasm and dedication for future editions. I am convinced that the best is yet to come.
