Receiving recognition from Merco Salud as one of the five physicians with the best reputation in the field of Urology in Spain in 2025 is something I sincerely appreciate and accept with a strong sense of responsibility. Rankings in medicine are never simple, especially in a specialty with the level of excellence and demand that characterises Spanish urology.
One of the aspects that gives this distinction particular meaning is its origin: the Health Reputation Monitor (MRS) is based on the opinions of healthcare professionals, which makes this recognition a reflection of the judgement of those who understand first-hand the complexity of our specialty. Being recognised by fellow specialists adds a particularly valuable dimension to this distinction.
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to train, grow, and work alongside leading figures in urology, both in Spain and internationally. Spanish urology is today a cutting-edge field, with an outstanding scientific and clinical standard, and being able to contribute to this environment is, for me, a true privilege.
Beyond the personal level, I understand this recognition as the result of collective work. Medicine is not practised in isolation, and modern urology is a clear example of this. None of this would be possible without the people who have accompanied me along the way, nor without the team I am fortunate to work with every day at ROC Clinic and HM Hospitales.
My objective remains the same as when I first began: to offer every patient high-quality care, grounded in scientific evidence, clinical experience, technological innovation, and a human-centred approach to medicine.
Continuing to train, research, teach, and improve clinical practice is what gives meaning to my daily work. This Merco Salud 2025 recognition is not an end point, but rather an incentive to keep moving forward with the same commitment and enthusiasm.
